GET CREATIVE WITH WALLPAPER

When taking your space to the next level, a strong consideration should be wallpaper.  Today’s papers are vastly different from their predecessors.  Prints are dramatically oversized and full of whimsy, with patterns that feel like runway fashion and textures that add dimension to any space.  The colors are richer, and the fabrics are textured and sometimes three-dimensional.  Wallpaper can be a risk but offers a much bigger reward than paint alone.  Also, wallpapers are not relegated simply to walls. Consider adding drama by applying on furniture, in the backs of shelves or even as a fireplace surround instead of tile.

Whether you are bold or subtle, there is a wallpaper for you. For a busy family, there are vinyl papers that are bleach-cleanable and durable. Looking for something more “YOU”? A handmade, one-of-a-kind wallpaper is like a personalized work of art for your space.  If there is a common tip for wallpaper application today, it is to use restraint.  Use it sparingly and with a designed purpose in mind.  One room of partial wallpaper or perhaps a single accent wall can make an immense impact, though some wallpaper warrants an entire room.  If you want to dip your toe in the water, a powder bath or a mud room is a great place for a splash of drama!  Whatever your chosen application, a designer can help you make the best choices for your space to ensure a show-stopping conversation space.
